Welcome Back Winter Farmers' Market!

On Saturday, October 30th, the Clinton County WINTER Farmers' Market will make it's return to Swindler and Sons Florists for our second season!

The Winter Farmers’ Market will feature several of your favorite local vendors from the Summer Market and will offer a variety of quality products, including lamb, pork, chicken, beef, eggs, baked goods, spices and herbs, jams and jellies, artisan goods, and much more!

With the holiday season fast approaching, the Clinton County Winter Farmers’ Market is the perfect place to stock up on all the fresh, healthy foods for your holiday meals or to find that one-of-a-kind homemade gift for your friends and family - all while supporting your local food vendors and the greater Clinton County community!

Again, the grand opening of the Winter Farmers’ Market is on Saturday, October 30th, 2010, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Winter Market is held in a covered greenhouse at Swindler and Sons Florists, located at 321 W. Locust St., Wilmington, Ohio (just a couple blocks away from our Mural location).

After our kick-off date on Saturday, October 30th, we will begin our bi-monthly schedule on Saturday, November 6th. The Market will be held on the first and third Saturdays of November, December, and February. We will meet on the second and fourth Saturdays of January to accommodate for New Year's Day. We will then continue into the Spring as the Market demand dictates.

Last year, we introduced our popular pre-order option. This system encouraged customers to pre-order a few days before the Market and just pick up and pay for their products on the morning of the Market. This made it convenient for shoppers who wanted to plan ahead and ensure that they got exactly what they were looking for, and it helped the vendors know what and how much to bring.


This year, our pre-order system is moving to the next exciting level. All of our pre-orders will go through the awesome, free website - LOCAL DIRT. As a customer, you just visit our profile at www.localdirt.com/ccfarmersmarket to view a list of our vendors and their great products available for pre-order. You will need to sign up to make orders on Local Dirt, but it's a quick and free process (for more info on signing up, click HERE).


Once you are a member, you can make orders with our Market vendors (and any other local vendors if you so choose). When you place an order, you will receive an invoice to help you keep record of your purchases. On the morning of the Market, you just pick-up and pay for your order from the vendors at Swindler and Sons Florists. Orders and order payments will be separated by specific vendors.


If you are unable to pick up your order on Saturday morning, please notify the vendor to arrange alternative pick-up/delivery. Failure to notify the vendor in advance could result in loss of your order and ordering restrictions for the remainder of the market season.


In addition to the pre-order system, vendors will have products available for sale at the Saturday Market. So whether you missed getting your pre-orders in or you’re just looking for a few extra items, you can still find what you need at the Winter Farmers’ Market.
