August Event Schedule

Join us at the Clinton County Farmers' Market for these fun and FREE family-friendly events!

Saturday, July 31st: Summer Bounty Preservation

Now you can enjoy fresh, affordable summer produce all year long! The Clinton County Homemakers will be present at the Market with a display on food preservation tips such as canning and freezing.

Saturday, August 7th: Main Street Yoga at the Market

Join instructor Tammy Reed in a FREE Saturday morning late summer yoga hour (9:30 - 10:30 am) dedicated to raising awareness about our local farmers and goods. This will be a basic class that will explore asana (physical movement) with contemplation on how our personal health, health of our community and health of our world are all delicately intertwined. No experience is neccesary, just a willingness to open yourselves up to your community.

Saturday, August 14th: Kid's Day

Join Grow Food, Grow Hope at the Market for kid-friendly activities, games, crafts, story-time, face painting and more. It's a blast for the whole family!

Saturday, August 21st: Tomadah Paradah Celebration

The Market celebrates the Tomadah Paradah weekend sponsored by Wilmington College and Swindler and Sons Florist. Celebrate the simple joys of everyone's favorite summertime treat! Consider this your "pre-game" event for the evening Tomadah Paradah festivities at Wilmington College.

Saturday, August 28th: Read With Me

The First Baptist Church of Wilmington (one of our great Market Sponsors) presents information on their literacy mentoring program - "Read with Me" - right in time for the start of the school year.

Also catch great live, local music and appearances from our other Market sponsors (The South Street Gallery, Damon's Grill, and National Bank and Trust) throughout the month.
