Clinton County Open Lands, Inc. has been working since 2004 in Clinton Co. to preserve farms and natural areas in Clinton Co. by holding conservation easements on property. While CCOL's current easement holdings are on traditional grain farms, CCOL supports the Clinton County Farmers' Market as a 24 Carrot Sponsor because our Board believes that supporting a diversity of agriculture is important. Consumers are slowly becoming aware that their food choices matter.  In addition to labels for "Organic" and "Locally grown," you may someday see another label -- the CCOL label on foods produced on a Clinton County PPF (a "Permanently Preserved Farm")!
